April’s luncheon will feature Girish Balachandran, General Manager, providing an update on  the City of Riverside Public Utilities (RPU) Department.  RPU is committed to the highest quality water and electric services at the lowest possible rates to benefit the community.   Its vision is for customers to recognize RPU as a unique community asset with a global reputation for innovation, sustainability and an enhanced quality of life.  Its three year goals include contributing to the City of Riverside’s economic development while preserving RPU’s financial strength, maximizing the use of technology to improve utility operations, positively impacting legislation and regulations at all levels of government, developing and implementing electric and water resource plans, and creating and implementing a workforce development plan.

The luncheon will be your choice of soup or salad to start, your choice of entrée; Chicken Marsala, Lasagna (pork and beef filling), or Spinach Ravioli (vegetarian option) with bread, followed by ice cream for dessert.  The cost of the luncheon meeting is $20 if reservations are made prior to Friday, April 24^th and $22 at the door.  Sorry but all reservations will be billed unless cancelled on or before Friday, April 24^th.     To reserve, please email either Janice Penner, or Shirley Schmeltz at rdpshirley@sbcglobal.net or call 951-781-7335.    Please advise of your choice of entrée when making your reservation.  Thank you!!
