On Friday, November 2, 2012, the Latino Network is proud to host the 2^nd Annual Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Golf Tournament at The Champions Club at The Retreat.  Proceeds from this event will help build this historic monument.  The scramble format event will tee off at 10 a.m., and host numerous activities including breakfast, lunch, awards celebration, special appearances, raffle and auctions.  The Cesar E. Chavez Memorial Golf Tournament is open to anyone that wants to help us make the Cesar E. Chavez Monument a reality.

To honor the life and legacy of this American hero, a beautiful monument featuring Cesar E. Chavez leading a group of workers will be constructed on Main Street in Riverside among monuments of the world’s most influential civil rights leaders.  Riverside City and county officials, The Latino Network, Hispanos Unidos, Inland Empire businesses and many others are working diligently to generate the $350,000 needed to make the Cesar E. Chavez Monument a reality!

¡Sí, Se Puede! Cesar E. Chavez (March 31, 1927 – April 23, 1993) was a man of the people, by the people and for the people. He had a dream of improving the lives of farm workers and providing them opportunities to work in humane conditions without prejudice or fear for their health and safety.
