Please join us for RDP’s luncheon meeting on Tuesday, October 23^rd at Noon at Café Sevilla located at 3252 Mission Inn Avenue.  Our featured speaker will be Dr. Cynthia Azari, President of Riverside City College.

Dr. Azari will bring us up to date on the $100 million plus investment in downtown Riverside that Riverside City College is making.  The Renaissance Block located on Market Street between University and Ninth will contain the Social Justice Center (now open), the new administrative center and Culinary Academy, and the Coil School for the Arts.    Riverside City College is an important contributor to the arts and cultural as well as educational mosaic of downtown.  The Renaissance Block demonstrates RCC’s commitment to Riverside and its positioning as a city of arts and innovation.

The luncheon will be held at Café Sevilla located at 3252 Mission Inn Avenue.  Café Sevilla is not normally open for lunch but will open for this luncheon and offer a special menu.   You can choose from the following:

First course  – Gazpacho Andaluz OR Sevilla House Salad

Second course – Chicken Pinchos with fabada beans, grilled asparagus, and Rioja Sauce OR Grilled Skirt Steak   Sandwich with apple and pepper relish, dijonaise, and potatoes brava OR Pan Roasted Salmon with grilled vegetables, olives, and piquillo pepper coulis.     There is a vegetarian option also.

Dessert – Chocolate Decadence OR caramel gelato

The cost of the luncheon meeting is $18 if reservations are made prior to Friday, October 19^th and $20 if reservations are made after that date or at the door.  Sorry but all reservations will be billed unless cancelled on or before October 19^th .
